First intrigued by what was then called custom publishing while producing special reports for Adweek, Mike Winkleman went on to run custom publishing at Chief Executive magazine and American Lawyer Media before co-founding Leverage Media in 2001. His firm’s cross-channel work has included magazines, books, white papers and other print and digital content vehicles for such law firms as Crowell & Moring, Morrison & Foerster, Goodwin Procter, Patton Boggs, Wilmer Hale, Winston & Strawn, Orrick, and Dentons. A former chair of The Content Council and a former board member of Association Media & Publishing, Mike won TCC’s John Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 and AM&P’s Mitch Mohanna Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. He writes and speaks frequently on topics related to content marketing.
