Michael WindleMarketing Section Chief, Federal Insurance DirectorateFEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency)

Michael Windle currently serves as the Marketing Section Chief within FEMA's Federal Insurance Directorate, targeting both consumers and insurance agents as decision makers and influencers for purchasing flood insurance.  Michael joined FEMA in 2019, coming to government from the non-profit and private sectors including MIT's Humanitarian Supply Chain Lab, General Motors, Boston Consulting Group, and the American Red Cross.  At FEMA, Michael previously led CX strategy for FEMA's Individual Assistance Division, founded FEMA's Grassroots CX Community, and detailed to the Office of Management and Budget to lead the cross-agency Recovering from a Disaster Life Experience portfolio in support of Executive Order 14058. Michael has a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.
