Because this year’s event is virtual, you do not need to select your schedule in advance, but we do recommend planning your week ahead of time for an easier time navigating the virtual platform. Pre-conference workshops will be released on demand on Monday, October 12th and Industry Forums will be released on Friday, October 16th - check your emails for login instructions. All breakout/track sessions will be released on Tuesday, October 13th at 2:45pm EDT for on demand viewing. All event content will be available on demand for six months. Shannon Farrelly leads communications, marketing, and media relations for MIT Global Programs. Previously, Shannon directed branding, creative production, communications, marketing, and media relations at the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy (IDE) and led communications and outreach partnership for the Inclusive Innovation Challenge (IIC), MIT’s premier global economic prize that recognizes, rewards, and promotes organizations that are using technology to create broadly shared economic opportunity. Shannon has delivered creative direction, film direction and production, writing, editing, and policy/media communications for Fortune 500 companies in the technology, healthcare, high-end fashion, legal, and entertainment industries. Her diverse client portfolio includes MIT, Ann Taylor, Anthem, the Department of Justice, and Steven Bochco Productions. She is passionate about applying creativity to solving complex communications and social challenges and employs a hands-on approach to collaborating with clients, artists, and technologists to bring creative concepts to life. Shannon studied political science, philosophy, and theater arts at Loyola University and holds a MA in Film from Columbia College.
