A wise man once told me that music is not just heard now, it's also seen. In the same vein, social media is no longer just seen, it's heard too. During this workshop, attendees will learn how social media audio (songs and sounds) can help create connection with their audience and join into cultural moments. The attendee will also learn how their companies can participate in trending audio in a way meaningful and authentic way that enhances the company's brand on social media.


1. Social media sounds give way to a new form of connection. Trending audio builds community, togetherness, and connectedness from the shared experiences and in the comments of video.
2. Social Media sounds have more stickiness in the real world (similar to memes). Ex. people mention TikTok sounds and sing trending songs in real life that they heard on social, older songs are reaching new audiences and gaining popularity because of social media circulation.
3. Sounds creates unique cultural moments that can be shared across different platforms.
