Jacquie ChakirelisDirector of MarketingGreat Lakes Science Center

Named one of the top 50 Influential Women in Content Marketing, Jacquie Chakirelis is a marketing professional, national public speaker and an entrepreneur with more than twenty years of experience working in marketing, media and digital platforms.

In 2017, she founded the Online Platform Institute and launched the podcast PlaformFM, where she engages with entrepreneurs and experts about how to create, grow and monetize a platform for personal branding, business growth and passion projects.

Among her proudest achievements is the founding of the first women-owned and hosted nationally-syndicated talk radio program and podcast, Family Matters Radio, that attracted more than one million listeners a week. The media company was a pioneer in women-issue programming and was honored with five Society of Professional Journalism Awards over its thirteen year history.

Success in the mom market space led to an opportunity to launch a national social online community in eighty communities across the Gannett media network. Jacquie collaborated with the NBC-TV news content teams to integrate the online audience with the broadcast content producers to attract and engage a mom audience that led to an online membership community of over 22,000 members.

As the former Digital Marketing Director on the Advance Local team, she collaborated on the strategic development of enterprise digital campaigns focused on customer acquisition in the Travel/Toursim, Entertainment and Event verticals. Direct client success included the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hard Rock Rocksino and Content Marketing World.

She currently serves as the Director of Marketing for the Great Lakes Science Center where she drives the marketing strategy for one of the top attractions in Ohio.
