While choosing breakout sessions is not required, sessions do fill up fast. And seating is first-come, first-served, so it is a good idea to plan out your schedule ahead of time.
After a 30-year career in marketing and sales, Jeff Allen has returned to his roots in Southeastern Ohio as an Executive in Residence in the College of Business at Ohio University. In addition to mentoring marketing students in the Schey Sales Centre, Jeff teaches undergraduate and executive education classes in sales and marketing.
Prior to joining Ohio University, Jeff ran a digital marketing consultancy and was the Chief Marketing Officer for Butler Street, a management consulting and performance improvement firm focused on the two most challenging areas companies face: Client Development and Talent Development.
From 2009 -2016 Jeff served as Vice President, Marketing and Product Management for Standard Register where he led the effort to transform the product portfolio and modernize the go to market processes for both commercial and healthcare business units. Under his leadership the company launched new solutions and marketing programs delivering over $ 100 Million in new revenue over the course of his tenure with the company.
In 2002, Jeff founded Blue Heron Business Development, a management consulting firm engaged in accelerating new product launch and market development processes for Fortune 1000 companies in the technology, education, financial, and business services sectors. For over 15 years, Blue Heron has consulted with some of the worlds most recognized brands, helping to define and execute strategies that are still producing results today.
Jeff is a co-holder of U.S. Patent 6362897 and is the author of Strategic Positioning (NAPL 2003), a book designed to guide senior executives through the process of business transformation by revisiting classic Harvard Business Review concepts. He serves as a strategic advisor for PrintReleaf, a cloud-based technology platform enabling connection between enterprise paper consumption and the reforestation of the heaviest regions of forest degradation around the globe.
Jeff has been married to his wife Valerie for 30 years. They have two children: Louie, 26, and Jane, 24.
